Robotic Customer Service
E-Reception concerns the development and commercialization of innovative robot reception services in hotels that will be able to perform the services of the reception and hospitality manager, i.e. have the responsibility of communicating with the customers of tourist accommodations, from arrival to their departure, handle the arrival of customers, ensure that the correct customer details are received and managed securely and handle the departure of customers.
As part of the project, the following are expected to be investigated:
- the various aspects of visitor authentication systems
- the secure receipt of personal information and
- the confirmation of the reservation for the issuance of keys to the accommodation
Visitor Identification Method
Verifying a user’s identity during registration requires proof of their true identity (police ID or passport). The verification of user credentials involves three processes:
- Obtain and record the records from the front and back, if any (eg ID card)
- Automatic data extraction from documents to assess their authenticity
- User authentication using machine learning and artificial intelligence technologies
Use Case
The use of the reception robot, E-Reception, is expected to contribute positively to the development of new specialized automated reception solutions in tourist accommodation that will be integrated and tested at the Drenia Studios hotel in Ammouliani Halkidiki to upgrade the services offered to serve guests their.
